This partnership project aims to create a Roman day out for KS2 pupils. Activities on the day are closely linked to the National Curriculum addressing chronology, knowledge and understanding of events and people as well as historical enquiry.
The project with Tripontium Gallery at Rugby Art Gallery and Museum was launched in the Spring Term of 2007. If you book a coach for a full day you will now be able to visit both the Lunt Roman Fort and Tripontium on the same day giving your pupils the opportunity to learn about Roman military and domestic life at two exciting locations.
You can start your day at either site.
A sample day could be:
| 9.50am | Arrive at the Lunt |
| 10.00am - 11.45am | Session on military life at the Lunt |
| 11.45am – 12.45am | Lunch at the Lunt and travel to Rugby |
| 12.45pm – 2.30pm | Session on Roman everyday life in Tripontium Gallery |
| 2.30pm – 3.00pm | Travel back to school |
