This overnight adventure offers attendees the unique opportunity to camp out in a real Roman Fort, dating back 2000 years!

Experience authentic Roman crafts, ghost hunts, battle drills, archery, s’mores and so much more!

Booking Details

• Cost: £40 per child (25–60 children); £45 per child (15-24 children); accompanying adults go free

• Availability: March–October, any day to suit your group

• Duration: 3:30 pm–9:00 am the following day

• Participants: Children aged 6–16 and accompanying adults

• Booking: Fill in the form or contact ctm.info@cvlife.co.uk for availability

• Payment: Via invoice after the event

Activities

Choose the activities that suit your group best when you fill out the booking form.

Build navigation and observation skills while uncovering clues about an untold soldier’s story, encouraging empathy and imagination along the way.
Practice focus, coordination, and confidence while learning to shoot arrows safely under expert guidance.
Develop strategy, teamwork, and quick thinking through Roman-inspired combat games.
Strengthen collaboration and resilience with fast-paced challenges inspired by Roman constructions like bridges, aqueducts and ramparts.

Express creativity and fine motor skills by making Roman standards, brooches, mosaics, and more.
Relax, recharge, and explore Roman culture through traditional board games and stories.
Release energy and enjoy playful teamwork in a water-gun chase.
Dance the night away and celebrate the day before winding down for rest.

And that’s not all! Your group will also get to pitch large tents together and grill by the fire pits under the stars.

Timetable
First day

3:30pm - Arrival, registration, introduction and safety briefing

3:45pm - Pitch tents and set up sleeping area

5:00pm - Dinner

6:00pm - Your chosen activities

8:00pm - Snack by firepits

8:30pm - Celebration

9:00pm - Free time

9:30pm - Wash up and get ready for bed

1. Hot dogs, with grilled corn and baked beans

2. Jacket potatoes with a choice of toppings and salad

(Vegan, gluten-free and halal alternatives available)

• Goody bag

1. What does the timetable look like?

Your schedule may vary depending on your group size and chosen activities. This is just an example of what your experience could look like.

• 8 person tents for children

• 4 person tents for adults

• Camp lights for each tent

• Toilets, including an accessible toilet

(Please note: showers and baby changing facilities are not available.)

• Communal outdoor picnic area

• Fire pit with firewood

• Drinking water and urns

• On-site souvenir shop

You can bring your own packed meal, but please be aware that fridge and microwave are NOT available onsite.

Alternatively, you can order food from nearby restaurants and enjoy your food in our picnic area.

5. What are group leaders’ responsibilities?

We require at least 1 adult for every 10 children. While our staff will ensure that activities are conducted in a safe and inclusive environment, we kindly ask group leaders to actively supervise their children throughout the event. This includes:

• Monitoring children during all activities, particularly cooking sessions, where extra care is needed.

• Taking primary responsibility for children at night, including conducting head counts, ensuring everyone is safely in their tents, and responding promptly to any emergencies.

• Joining in the fun when needed. It’s more enjoyable for everyone when adults take part too!
